As a man who has plenty of experience when it comes to mandates I was pretty excited for the one that me and joshua had, especially with the refreshing scenery that San Francisco provides. So as Joshua stated in his post I am going to continue the epic man date (so epic that we had to split the whole story imto two blogs) we had around Downtown San Francisco. So as he so lovingly put it I recently quit my job and he was off from his work at the hospital we decided to spend the day in San francisco and i will pick up from where he left off...
So we just finished eating our ice cream at ghiradelli square we decided to head back. Not wanting to walk all the way back we were looking for the nearest bart station to bring us back to the mall. So we decided to take a totally different route going back hoping that we would find a bart station on the way. So from ghiradelli we head up Larkin street which was a hill then we took a left on chestnut then while walking down chestnut we see one of the steepest hills ever now San Francisco is known for its many steep roads but this was ridiculous. Being the atheletes that me and josh are we decided to go up the hill mid way there you can see a beautiful veiw of the pier so me and josh stopped for a moment to enjoy the site. So we continued our trek up the hill and when we neared the top we realized that there was another hill just as steep and just as long as the first one so we decided once again to walk it and to our surprise this hill actually lead us up to the famous crooked road of lombard street. There were plenty of tourists to our surprise mostly europeans and asians but you also had your occasional visiting from another place american.
From there we decided to head down Lombard street hoping from there we would find a familiar street that would lead us to our destination. So this time we walked down the steep roads so as we walked some what lost at this point we were thinking if we should ask someone for help but we decided against it determined to get to our destination without help. So Luckily our path lead us to Powell street which is the street we started only we were 17 blocks away from the mall, thinking that this might be our only chance of finding the right way back we started the 17 block trip. So that you know that I am not exaggerating i will name all the streets we passed Greenwich, Filbert, Union, Green, Broadway, Pacific, Jackson, Washington, Clay, Sacramento, California, Pine, Bush, Sutter, Post, Geary, and O'farrel. In the middle of the 17 block trip we walked through Chinatown where we saw a group of chinese teenagers blocking the sidewalk and a man next to the public library with his hands down his pants. And It all brought us back to where we saw the girl singing creep sadly she was gone so from there we went into the mall and Joshua bought his sister a magazine at the borders newsstand. Josh then asked me for a dollar for his commute when I pulled out the wallet we were then approached by a beggar who asked for a dollar and quickly grabbed the dollar that I was about to give josh feeling bad I let her have it and gave josh another dollar she then thanked us and continued to the people in the nearby coffee shop. So then I helped josh look for jolibee so he can get on the bus headed home. Once we went our seperate ways
I took the Bart from Powell to Glenn Park and from there I walked home.
So that concludes the Man Date, Me and Josh faced many challenges Bums, Hills, Seagulls, The chinese, and deciding if we were going to watch HSM3 which we didnt. We are still in one piece and we plan to do this every week.
At least we'll try.
And sevi I was thinking of you the whole time hahaha.
